AND THE SHOWS JUST KEEP COMING!
Time to check out the second show drop for Glasgow International Comedy Festival 2027! From Gong shows to Dungeons & Dragons and all the stand up comedy in between, this March GICF is bringing you all of the best comedy this city has to offer
GLASGOW STAND UP AT IT’S FINEST
Glasgow is (of course) the funniest city in the world, so it would be rude of us not to give you some of the biggest names in the Glasgow Stand up scene! TikTok star Kim Blythe will be returning to the Citizens Theatre after her sold out GICF26 show, with her new show Puzzle. You wont want to miss this ‘An undeniable talent’ (The Skinny, 4 stars)
Joining Kim on the Citz stage is the Sir Billy Connolly Spirit of Glasgow Award 2025 winner, Rosco McClelland with his brand new show Bones. A show where he investigate exactly what it is that makes him tick.
And we can not forget Mark Black, as he brings his critically acclaimed stand-up comedy and musical show, Horrible Family, to the King’s Theatre this March. Following millions of views online and a string of sold-out shows, Mark returns with his trademark dark wit, sharp observations and hilariously twisted songs, that your not gonna want to miss!
YOU GOT A COOL STORY BRO?
It’s improvised comedy. But it’s Kool.
Kiell Smith-Bynoe (Taskmaster, Ghosts and Stath Lets Flats) brings his smash hit improv comedy show, Kool Story Bro, to Glasgow. Featuring: A surprise celebrity guest ever. A cast of some of the UK’s best improvisers around. Stories from you, the audience, to inspire the comedy.
Following a huge debut national tour, sold out runs across London and Edinburgh, Kool Story Bro is coming back for another round of crazy audience stories.
SOMETHING A BIT DIFFERENT!
Stand up not your bag? We got you! GICF27 has the perfect blend of comedy to suit even the pickiest audience goers
Like to be in charge of the comedy? Check out Just One More Gong ! The live comedy show that puts the audience in charge of who stays on stage and who gets gonged off. Taking the stage some of the biggest and funniest names in the scene attempt to last 3 minutes on stage without getting carded off.
Dungeons and Dragons nerd? Check out Tartan Table Top! Get ready for improvised comedy at the roll of a dice as our four heroes blunder their way through an adventure like no other – aided by the weird and wonderful Noblin the Goblin, played by a special guest comedian
Want your comedy with a bit more plot? Check out comedy play Remember, Remember! Jay and Charlie want to make the world a better place, but at what cost? Through the powder of friendship, a wild trip into the past shows them the future they could have instead of the past they live in, in the future. Oh yeah, and Guy Fawkes is also there.
