Paid Marketing Internship
Glasgow International Comedy Festival | 2 days per week

We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised Marketing Intern to join the team behind the Glasgow International Comedy Festival, Scotland’s biggest comedy festival.
This is an entry-level opportunity for someone looking to build a career in marketing, with the chance to gain hands-on experience across digital marketing, social media, content creation, design, events and campaign management.
Working closely with the festival’s Head of Marketing, you will help deliver campaigns and day-to-day activity in the run-up to and during the festival while also getting an insight into the thinking, planning and strategy behind the work.
Some of the things you will be involved in:
- Creating and uploading articles and content for the festival website
- Supporting the delivery of email marketing campaigns
- Scheduling daily social media content across the festival’s channels
- Community management
- Supporting venue branding and marketing activity
- Helping with general campaign, marketing and festival administration
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has a genuine interest in building a career in marketing
- Is enthusiastic, organised and reliable
- Has good written communication skills and attention to detail
- Is comfortable using social media
- Has an interest in content creation and digital marketing
- Ideally as some experience with Canva or similar design tools, although training can be provided
- Is happy working both independently and as part of a small team
- Isn’t afraid to get out and about and get stuck into festival activity
