500 Comedy Fans Can’t Be Wrong

Blackfriars

Saturday 1st April 2023

Show time: 4:00pm (Doors open: )

A bargain showcase of up and coming Scottish stand-up for only £3! (£4 on the door subject to availability).
Featuring:
Chris Scott (Best Newcomer Nominee – Scottish Comedy Awards)
His ‘why not?’ attitude has seen Chris appear in an underwear ad, perform at an S & M club’s birthday party and host shows on a boat for indie-music darlings Belle and Sebastian.

In addition to appearing at clubs across Scotland, he has also opened for Alex Edelman (Best Newcomer Edinburgh Fringe, BBC4, Conan) and Susie McCabe (Best Show – Scottish Comedy Awards).

Katie Tennent:
Not many comedians start comedy out of sibling rivalry but after seeing her brother become a stand-up (see below), Katie decided to pick up the mic and put him in his place.
As befitting a Glasgow tour guide, her routines show an eye for detail and a gift for storytelling.

Sam Tennent:
Complications from a burst appendix could have killed Sam, thankfully he recovered and with a new lease of life he decided to fight his fear and sign up for a comedy course. Since then he’s had multiple Glasgow Comedy Festival sell outs to his name and once supported Coolio.

Ross Thomson:
You may have seen Ross MC-ing at Glasgow’s legendary Tennent’s Bar or at his successful 2022 Fringe run. But how does a lifelong East-End boy deal with gentrification and growing up?
