About Us

Over the last decade we’ve brought the biggest comedy names in the world to Glasgow. Along the way we’ve showcased the best of our home-grown talent too. This year is no different. We’ve a programme packed fuller than ever with the best stand-up comedy you can get.

This year features stars like Michael Winslow and Doug Stanhope from the US, household names like Dara O’Briain and Ardal O’Hanlon, and top Scots like Jerry Sadowitz, Rory Bremner and rising star Daniel Sloss. There are some great events to look out for too from the Legendary Arnold Brown Comedy Interviews to our charity gala Stand Up For Palestine with Frankie Boyle and Gary Tank Commander.

More than ever we’ve something for all ages, from TV’s Little Howard to national treasure Dorothy Paul. There is also a packed programme of films, plays, workshops and debates to look forward to. Keep ahead of the game by registering for our e-newsletter, following us on Twitter and becoming our fan on Facebook. You’ll be the first to know about news, competitions and special offers.

The festival wouldn’t happen if it weren’t for our team of dedicated staff. Sarah Watson is the Acting Festival Manager, she’s been on board since the start and really knows her comedy! Alexandra Crawley is the UK Marketing Officer, she looks after the marketing side of things, liaises with sponsors and seeks out development opportunities. Emma Caldwell is the Marketing Assistant, she manages the festival’s online portfolio and knows a thing or two about digital media. Iain Dodds is the Production Co-ordinator who deals with venues, performers and lots of spreadsheets. And it’s all overseen by Festival Director Tommy Sheppard.

We hope you enjoy the festival. Here’s to our second decade!
