Daniel Downie: Is Scottish?

Comedian Daniel Downie is Scottish, and a historian in Scottish History, but what does it mean to be ‘Scottish?’ This is a show about our perceptions of ‘Scottishness’ and if they are genuine or invented. Is Glasgow the ‘hardest’ city in Scotland? Is Edinburgh really ‘England with tartan?’ Are the Highlands and islands an idyllic paradise? Does anyone actually speak Gaelic?
