Glasgow Comedy Festival

We're well into the last week of the Glasgow Live International Comedy Festival (GLICF). There's still plenty going on, and we can't wait to see you enjoying the best of the fest!

But what to see?! Enjoy the last week of the festival and get your teeth stuck into these cracking shows

Reduced Shakespeare Company

William Shakespeare’s Long Lost First Play (Abridged)

King's Theatre

Thursday 23 March, 7.30pm

Acclaimed stars of the West End stage, the Reduced Shakespeare Company, are back with another barnstormingly irreverent and breathtakingly hilarious celebration of our cultural heritage – as seen through the eyes of three Americans wearing trainers.

Marcel Lucont

Whine List

The Stand Comedy Club

Thursday 23 March, 9.30pm

The country’s favourite flâneur, raconteur and bon viveur brings a new interactive show to the baying masses.

Who can resist Marcel Lucont?... pulling clever punchlines out of every interaction with his audience... Sometimes, arrogance is bliss.' **** Scotsman

Andrew Doyle

Future Tense

Blackfriars Basement

Friday 24 March, 9.15pm

Following total sell-out runs for his last three Edinburgh Festival shows, Andrew Doyle brings his new show to the Glasgow International Comedy Festival.

‘Doyle is an absolute master – a surgical artist with anger’ **** Fest

John Hastings

The John Hastings

Blackfriars Basement

Saturday 25 March, 9.15pm

John Hastings is a fence sitting former drag queen. He will yell. He will shout. He will be proving the following people right.

'This fast-growing comic is a pleasure to watch' **** Times

Hailey Boyle

Blackfriars Basement

Sunday 26 March, 8.30pm

Hailey Boyle knows about commitment. She has been committed to the mental ward, she is committed to having a baby in her late 30's with her one remaining ovary. Most shockingly, she is committed to an actual adult relationship (like, with a dude!). She is also committed to performing dirty jokes about all of it. Before you go thinking this is some soft, fluffy hour about lady parts and man troubles, please note the working title of this show was 'Hailey Boyle: Finally has a fisting joke'.

Glasgow Live & Late

Blackfriars Basement

24 & 25 March, 11pm

The Glasgow Live International Comedy Festival in association with Glasgow Live introduces the famous Blackfriars late show, Glasgow Live & Late. A festival institution for over 14 years, a handpicked selection of home grown and international acts alike grace the stage every March for some late night comedy shenanigans in the perfect setting.

Past acts include Jason Byrne, Reginald D Hunter and Brendon Burns as well as the cream of Scottish comedy talent such as Gary Little, Raymond Mearns and Janey Godley.

You never know who might turn up!
